What We Do

The Art & Science of
Premium Cocoa Sourcing

ASG Commodities has spent over a decade building direct relationships with farmers across Brazil's premier cocoa-growing regions — from Bahia's sun-drenched valleys to the lush groves of Pará. We don't just buy and ship; we work alongside growers to ensure every batch meets the quality benchmarks our global buyers depend on.

Our sourcing model is built on three pillars: traceability, so you know exactly where your beans come from; quality control, with multi-stage grading before anything leaves our hands; and flexibility, tailoring lot sizes, moisture specs, and fermentation levels to your precise requirements.

Sourced from Brazil's
Finest Growing Regions

Brazil's diverse microclimates produce cocoa with an extraordinary range of flavour profiles. We source from multiple regions to give buyers access to the full spectrum.

🇧🇷

Bahia — Southern Highlands

Brazil's historic cocoa heartland. Rich red soils and Atlantic humidity produce bold Forastero and complex Trinitario with deep chocolate notes.

🇧🇷

Pará — Amazon Basin

The frontier of Brazilian fine-flavour production. Shaded agroforestry systems yield unique fruity, lightly acidic beans with exceptional aroma complexity.

Espírito Santo

Smaller volumes of premium-grade beans grown on family estates with meticulous post-harvest practices. Ideal for specialty and single-origin programmes.

Quality Assurance

Zero Compromise
on Quality

Our quality control protocol is one of the most rigorous in the Brazilian cocoa export industry. Every lot is inspected, tested, and documented before it earns our approval stamp.

Cut Test Analysis

Random 300-bean cut tests determine fermentation index, mould, slate, and insect damage — per ICCO standards.

Moisture Testing

Calibrated moisture meters used on every pallet. Beans must meet ≤7.5% moisture before shipping approval.

Lab Screening

Third-party laboratory screening for ochratoxin A, cadmium, pesticide residues, and heavy metals — documentation provided to buyers.

Full Lot Documentation

Every shipment comes with CoA, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, and full traceability documentation to farm level.
